How fast does hair grow?

Average hair growth is approximately 1.25cm (half an inch) per month, or about 15cm per year. Slow growth is around 0.8cm/month and fast growth about 1.7cm/month. Growth rate is affected by genetics, age, diet, health and season (hair tends to grow slightly faster in summer).

How do I encourage clients to rebook?

The best time to book the next appointment is at checkout. Explain why the interval matters ("Your colour will start showing roots at around 5 weeks"). Offer a rebooking discount. Send appointment reminders. Show them what the style looks like at the ideal rebook point versus leaving it too long.

Should men rebook more frequently than women?

Generally yes, because shorter styles show growth more quickly. A fade or cropped style looks significantly grown out after 3-4 weeks. A longer women cut may not look noticeably different for 6-8 weeks. Beard trims are the most frequent service, ideally every 2-3 weeks for a well-maintained look.
