Fade haircuts are the most requested barber service in the UK. A classic fade transitions from skin (or near-skin) at the sides to longer hair on top, with a seamless gradient between guard sizes. Low fades start above the ear, mid fades at the temple, and high fades near the crown. The number of guard transitions determines the smoothness of the blend.
Traditional wet shaving has experienced a major revival.
